Recall of broken glass in noodle ready-made sauces

Noodle ready sauces from „Every day“ could contain broken glass
06/11/2013
A consumer from Lower Saxony had according to own data a glass splinter in a noodle sauce of the mark „Every day“ discovered during preparation. The central trading company (ZHG) reacted immediately and as a precaution calls back two articles of the brand. These are the „Every day Bolognese sauce, 420 g "(date of minimum durability 15.07.2016) as well „Every day Napoli sauce, 420 g "(date of minimum durability 30.06.2016), as the news agency „dpa“ tells.
The ZHG supplies many dealers with own brands. So far, according to the trading company, there would have been no indications of a general problem. It is a purely precautionary measure which concerns only the two products mentioned.
Glass splinters get into food due to faulty production process
Due to errors in the manufacturing processes, contaminants or foreign bodies in food products can occur again and again. In July, for example, two fruit slices were recalled from Allos, as glass fragments were also found in them. Also the organic Bircher muesli of the eco-products manufacturer was affected in the same month. Smallest pieces of glass were discovered during routine checks, the company said at the time. (Ag)
