The supermarket chain Kaufland calls the beer ham of its own brand „K-Classic“ back. The group can not rule out that broken glass have got into the product. Kaufland has not shared how the dangerous production error came about.

„It can not be completely ruled out that there are small pieces of broken glass in individual packages of the relevant best-before date, which can lead to injuries when ingested“, informs Kaufland on its website. The affected sausage variety is „K-Classic Delikatess beer ham top quality“ Gold foil stack pack 200g with the best before date 08.10.12, 09.10.12 and 10. October 12. The beer ham had been taken as a precaution from the sale. Consumers who have already purchased the product can return the sausage without presenting the receipt in each Kaufland branch. The purchase price will be refunded. Not recommended is the consumption of the named batches. The splinters could lead to health consequences for the consumer.
