Radon counteracts bone-degrading processes

In Germany, about 7 million people suffer from osteoporosis. The most common metabolic disease of the bone usually begins unnoticed and is often diagnosed only when it comes to fractures even with low force. The creeping bone loss is based on a disturbance of the balance between the formation and degradation processes of the bone. In the healthy body, the body's own hormones, messengers and physical activity control the activity of bone-forming and bone-degrading cells. This is confirmed by new study and investigations. „An unfavorable relationship between these two messengers is often associated with the disease of osteoporosis.“ Treatments with radon improved the balance between both messengers in favor of bone formation. The effect persisted even for up to six months after treatment. In addition, experts in radon therapy alleviate pain-relieving effects that persist in osteoporosis patients according to scientific studies for up to 9 months. Radon therapy can not cure osteoporosis, however: „Although these effects do not cure the disease, the symptoms are significantly alleviated “, affirms hölzl.

Radon unfolds its optimal health benefits in a tropical climate with temperatures above 37.5 degrees Celsius and up to 100 percent moisture, as prevalent in warm mine tunnels. Under these climatic conditions there is a slight overheating of the body. Even this so-called hyperthermia effect brings relief to many. In addition, the organism absorbs radon much better in this state and thus enhances its therapeutic efficacy.
