New Burnout Therapies from Naturopathy: Depression and burnout are a burden for everyone - those affected, society and the economy
11.05.2011
Depression and mental illness not only burden the soul of the affected patients and their environment, they also constitute a burden for the national economy as a widespread disease. According to current calculations, around four million people in Germany suffer from mental illness, and the trend is rising. According to a recent Allianz Insurance report, depression causes € 22 billion in economic damage annually. 9.3 billion euros of damage would be caused by the fact that sick people continued to go to work instead of being treated. In 2010, almost every tenth day of absence was due to it; this resulted in an analysis of the sick leave of more than ten million insured persons by the Scientific Institute of the AOK. Not counting the increasing cases of burnout and total fatigue, which are not among the mental illness, but have to be extrapolated to all those insured with 1.8 million days lost. Mental illnesses still seem to be stigmatized in society and many sufferers are reluctant to entrust themselves early to a therapist or alternative practitioner.
„Burnout - new therapy options“ is a lecture by alternative practitioner and diploma educator Bernhard Deipenbrock. Classified as a fashion disease, burnout syndrome has become a serious condition with far-reaching consequences. The presentation provides a sound account of the causes, the phases, the treatment options and the possibilities of prevention. Primarily, naturopathic treatment options and related new and promising approaches are presented.
Stefanie essay, non-medical practitioner and lecturer of the FVDH for psychosomatics, holistic healing energy and meditation, dedicated to the subject „Burn-out - the infarction of the soul“. The „Being burned out“ is the last phase of a life development, which has usually attracted little attention for a long time for those affected and their environment. Social presuppositions, the ideal of uninterrupted action and dynamics, suggest a sense of life, but not for people „humanely“ and is unattainable. In general, physical signs are taken more seriously than mental and / or spiritual ones. The lecture aims to raise awareness for the early detection of burn out syndrome.
The German Healing Practitioner Congress is a specialist event for non-medical practitioners, therapists or non-medical practitioner candidates from all over Southern Germany. The focus of the two-day specialist event is a thematically broad-based lecture program with outstanding professional staff. The event will also feature an industry exhibition with exhibitors of biopharmaceutical and medical-technical companies and providers of naturopathic products, services and equipment. „Naturopathy - proven and new united“ is the motto of this year's German Alternative Practitioners' Congress, which will take place on 18 and 19 June 2011 for the 21st time in succession at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair and Congress Center (KMK).
