At Lidl on sale: manufacturer calls salami back because of plastic foreign body
The manufacturer EWG Eberswalder Wurst GmbH has started a product recall of the product "Eberswalder Original Schorfheider Knüppelsalami, 250g". The sausage could contain red plastic foreign bodies. The product should not be consumed.

The manufacturer EWG Eberswalder Wurst GmbH retrieves the product "Eberswalder Original Schorfheider Stick Salami, 250g" with the best before date 04.03.2018 and lot number L10446 in parts of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein. The reason for the recall: "It can not be ruled out that in the affected product red plastic foreign bodies are included," it says in a customer information.

"Due to the possible risk of injury when eating, customers should pay attention to the recall and the product in no way consume," writes the manufacturer.
According to the information, the salami was sold "at Lidl Germany in parts of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Schleswig-Holstein."
The discounter had taken the affected sausage immediately from the sale. The product can be returned to all Lidl stores. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt. (Ad)
