Explosive bottles: Winery starts recall for Dornfelder wine
The Rheinberg winery in Bingen am Rhein (Rhineland-Palatinate) calls red wine back. For bottles of the brand "2015 Dornfelder red wine quality wine Palatinate lovely" it could have come to fermentation processes. As a result, there is a risk that the bottle could explode.

Bottles could explode
The Rheinberg winery in Rhineland-Palatinate Bingen am Rhein recalls Dornfelder red wine from the Palatinate. As the company announced, the article "2015 Dornfelder Rotwein Qualitätswein lieblich" may have come in some cases to fermentation processes with yeasts. In the bottles pressure could be built up, which causes the glass to burst. The bottle would explode.

Only a few bottles sold
The second largest winery in Germany, which belongs to the Edeka Group, further stated that only 0.75 liter bottles with the name "A. P.NO. 4 342 070 295 16 ". According to the company, the wine was mainly available in Marktkauf- and Edeka stores in Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony-Anhalt. Only a few bottles have been sold to consumers.

If you have bought a bottle, you should carefully pack it in a bag and dispose of it in the residual waste. The purchase price will be - even without presentation of the receipt - refunded.

Explosion hazard due to fermentation processes
Due to errors in the manufacturing processes, foreign objects or contaminants in food can occur again and again. In the past, drinks had to be recalled more often because of possible fermentation processes.

It was only in February that Eckes-Granini had recalled Frucht-Tiger because, according to the company, complaints and inspections had led to the conclusion that some bottles had been contaminated with yeasts during bottling. Another example was Schwarzwald-Sprudel, which once took back products because it could not be ruled out that there could be a risk of explosion in beverage bottles. (Ad)
