Headaches in computer work in the office are often caused by blurred vision

Many people complain of headaches in the office. Often, tension or psychosomatic causes are behind the symptoms. Also, visual problems can lead to headaches in computer work. In conversation with the news agency „dpa“ explains Hans-Michael Mühlenfeld, member of the German Association of General Practitioners, what victims can do against the complaints.


Headaches in the office are often caused by stress and tension
„In 99 percent of the cases, headaches are caused by tensions in the neck area. "Mühlenfeld told the news agency that psychosomatic causes such as stress are often behind the discomfort, malpositions can also cause tension and headaches, and Mühlenfeld recommends an effective and office-friendly exercise to alleviate the pain. For this, the affected person crosses his hands behind the back of his head and pushes his head backwards, while at the same time holding his hands, the exercise lasts only about a minute.

Another cause of headaches can be blurred vision in computer work. Then sufferers should slowly press their heads on the chest. At the physiotherapist or in the sports club further effective exercises can be learned. „When the headaches come through the computer work, then usually visual disturbances are the reason ", explains Mühlenfeld.Rare heating air and lack of oxygen cause headaches.

Relieve headaches with natural remedies
One of the simple home remedies for headaches is the use of medicinal plants and medicinal herbs. Lavender, woodruff and melissa inform a tea preparation can often relieve the symptoms. For this, a teaspoon of dried lavender flowers, a teaspoon of dried lemon balm or half a teaspoon of woodruff herb is doused with a quarter liter of boiling water. After a drawing time of about four to five minutes, the liquid is poured off. Three cups should be drunk from the tea a day.
