Home remedies for lady beard
Although some cultures considered women's hair to be attractive in the Ottoman Empire, women's beards are now considered chic only by the dwarfs of fantasy author Terry Pratchett, in which the women of the dwarves differ from men in the shape of their beards.

Bearded Women
On the fairs and in so-called Freakshows belonged "bearded women" to the questionable attractions. However, these were not women who had a slight fuzz on their upper lip, but those who grew heavy hair on their faces and other parts of the body, presumably due to overproduction of male hormones.

Even with the so-called "hair man" is not a simple lady beard. Those affected, both men and women, suffer from hypertrichosis, a genetic disorder in which the hair on the whole body covers them like a fur, and proliferate not only in the chin and mouth, but also on the forehead and cheeks.
The fight against the hair
Whether in Germany or the US, Turkey or Iran - women try to get rid of the lip fluff with countless meaningless and meaningless means. Oriental women also developed such home remedies as art, because their black hair fell more heavily in the face than blond Scandinavian women.
Causes for a ladybeard
The main cause of a ladybeard are the genes. These determine the hormone balance and ensure that not only female hormones but also androgens are released. Every woman has a small amount of male hormones, but some women are particularly sensitive to their release, so their skin makes hair grow stronger.
Pregnancies and menopause
Most affected already bear a female beard as a girl, it shows more strongly in puberty, when the sex hormones also male hormones are released, sometimes change pregnancies and menopause, the hormone balance.
A taboo topic
It is a taboo subject that many women talk about only to their best friend. Because of this, there are no solid statistics, but the medicine assumes that every fifth woman sprout unwanted hair around her mouth and chin.
Disorders and diseases
When women grow hair on their faces, they usually find it annoying, but it's not a disease. Most of these women are perfectly healthy. It looks different when a hormonal disorder triggers the ladybeard. The level of androgens is then abnormally high, and the cause may be malfunction in the organs. A visit to the doctor is needed in any case, because the lady beard can now also be a sign of a serious basic disease. An excessively high level of androgens can also be regulated by hormone therapy, which also causes the beard to disappear.
Very rare, but all the more dangerous is sprouting hair as an indicator of cancer in the ovaries. This leads to the fact that more androgens are released.
Treatment against the ladybeard
If there is no disruption of hormones, women have many tools at their disposal. They use depilatory creams, epilators, wax or tweezers. Meanwhile, Iranian women know a natural remedy that also cares for the skin.
Oat, honey and lemon
They take honey, lemon juice and oatmeal. They provide their skin with vitamins, antioxidants and minerals: oats provide moisture and regulate the PH value, as a peeling, it removes skin cells; The lemon not only brightens the skin, it also slows hair growth; Honey provides antioxidants and vitamins.

To remove a beard, the simplest method is shaving. Unfortunately, it has major disadvantages for women in the face. Depending on how fast the hair grows, stubble will form again the next day.
What's more, dark beard hair leaves a slight shadow even in the clean-shaven face. The result: The affected person does not have a lady beard for the moment, but looks like a freshly shaven man.
Woman beard plucking
Women who shave their ladybeards, at least, like men, have to do that every day. An alternative is epilation. The hair is pulled out with the root. The advantage is: The hair is not cut off, but removed, and from hair roots removed can sprout no hair. The downside is that epilation causes pain.
If only single hair sprouts, you can pluck them out with a pair of tweezers. To tighten the skin, fix the hair with a not too wide forceps and pull it out with a short jerk.
Threading technique at Frauenbart
The threading technique is useful to remove several hairs at the same time. You draw a thread circle, put it around the corresponding hair roots and pull it out of the skin. This technique requires some practice.
spiral
The spiral works on a similar principle, but is suitable for beginners. You can buy such a spiral from the beautician or the drugstore. A spiral spring is in the middle and on the outsides sit two handles, with which they hold the spiral. The spiral bend it to a U and put it in the place where they want to remove the hair. Then they pull the spiral over the skin.
Epilator at ladybeard
For a strong ladybeard offers an epilator. They are available in different versions. Epilation, however, is more painful than the previous techniques, especially on the upper lip.

You can buy cold wax strips in the drugstore that are very easy to use. You only need to press the strips in the appropriate places and then pull off.
Hot wax is more effective, but hurts a little more. They melt hot wax balls into a mass and apply them, still soft and warm to the skin. They leave the wax dry for about ten minutes and then peel it off. The advantage: they pull out many hairs at once.
sugar
Instead of wax, you can also mix sugar with lemon juice and boil both together. If the hot mass is tough then use it like hot wax, so apply it warm to the skin, let it cool and then peel it off.
Wax and sugar remove the hair with the root, and it takes about a month, until they regrow and they have to repeat the procedure.
Help home remedies?
"The" miracle cure for a ladybug does not exist. All methods that can be applied at home are tedious, sometimes painful and permanently unsatisfactory. Many women seek out a professional dermatologist or go to the beauty salon.
Professional treatment
In the meantime, annoying body hair can be removed permanently with light therapy, lasers and electrical epilators. Although such a treatment must be repeated more often at the beginning and costs around 20-25 euros per appointment, and the health insurance company does not pay, but those affected have peace in the long run. For the entire treatment you should plan for the 150.00 Euro.
With all home remedies, the problem is that most of the regrowing hair is invisible. You have not broken through the skin surface yet. After the first treatments in a dermatological practice sprouting even more hair than before, because the hidden under the skin of the place is no longer blocked by the visible.
From session to session, the technician now removes the offcoming hairs along with the root, until after about seven sessions all roots are completely removed. (Dr. Utz Anhalt)
