Recall due to bacteria in Weidenhof preferred milk

In controls, bacteria of the genus Campylobacter jejuni were detected in the preferred milk, reported the Weidenhof OHG in Hesse Wächtersbach. In humans, the bacteria can cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, nausea and vomiting. After the findings became known, the delivery of the preferred milk was stopped immediately and the milk already delivered had been recalled by the customers. In order to avoid health risks for the consumers, customer information with the reference to the recall of the preferred milk was placed in the affected retail outlets. In addition, Weidenhof, in coordination with the competent authorities, points out that all persons who consumed the preferred milk during the period from Wednesday, 1 July to Thursday, 16 July and who subsequently had diarrhea, should contact a doctor as a precautionary measure.
