Risk of injury according to manufacturer estimate rather low

According to the manufacturer, the risk of injury is relatively low, since only very few fragments of glass were found. The company believes that the splinters have already been removed by the company's quality controls. Nevertheless, a risk of injury can not be completely excluded. The purchased items can be returned for reimbursement of the purchase price in the store or sent by mail to Seidl Confiserie GmbH, Reiserweg 2, 93164 Laber.

What risks of injury threaten by consumption?

Foreign bodies in the food can cause different injuries and suffering. Depending on their size and shape, swallowed vitreous can cause wounds in the mouth and throat during chewing. Also damage to teeth and gums are conceivable. If a piece of glass splinters into the respiratory tract, a so-called foreign body aspiration threatens. This can manifest itself among other things by irritating coughing, hoarseness and difficulty breathing up to the shortness of breath. If the swallowed fragments remain in the body, inflammation remains. Likewise, digestive or stomach problems and internal injuries can not be ruled out. Anyone who has health problems after eating the pumpkin seed products, should see a doctor immediately. (Vb)
