A tragic accident occurred at the weekend in the French town of Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne, near the former Olympic venues Albertville and Grenoble. When a father wrapped his child, he suffered a severe heart attack. The child also died because the father collapsed after infarction over the infant.

A tragic accident occurred in France. When the 47-year-old father wrapped his child, he suffered a heart attack with an immediate cardiac arrest. The father collapsed over the seven-month-old infant and buried the child with his body. As a result, the baby suffocated as the newspaper Dauphine Libéré reported.

Both parents lived apart. When the child's mother tried to reach her father, nobody answered the phone. Then the mother asked a neighbor to go to the apartment and to look after the right. The neighbor immediately notified an ambulance. But father and daughter were already dead and any help came too late. A second three-year-old child had to witness the tragedy, as it was also in the dad's apartment. The three-year-old girl was handed over to the mother. (Sb)
