According to AFP, nine people in Vancouver have died from an overdose of the drug Fentanyl in one night alone. The agency cites a message from Friday's Mayor of the city in western Canada, Gregor Robertson.

"These are hopeless times for Vancouver and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel if we have not bottomed," said Robertson at a press conference with police and other officials.
