In the pneumococcal vaccine, infants will in future receive three instead of the previous four vaccine doses of a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, at the age of 2, 4 and 11-14 months (so-called 2 + 1 vaccination schedule, two primary immunizations plus one refresher). , For premature babies (birth before the completed 37th week of pregnancy), the 3 + 1 scheme is still recommended, they should continue to receive four vaccine doses at the age of 2, 3, 4 and 11-14 months.

Although a vaccine has been available in Germany since December 2013 for serogroup B meningococci. The STIKO considers the study results to date and the resulting evidence not sufficient for a decision on a general vaccine recommendation. However, in the future, the STIKO recommends vaccination against meningococcal B (indi cation vaccination) for per- nons with specific underlying diseases. When it comes to yellow fever vaccination, the STIKO does not recommend freshening up.
