Six kilos at birth Young Australian gave birth to the biggest baby since commemoration
A young woman in Australia gave birth to a child that weighed nearly six kilograms at birth. The baby is one of the greatest of all times. The boy's peers are only about half as heavy on average.
One of the heaviest babies of all time
18-year-old Breanna Sykes was in her 40th week of pregnancy when a doctor told her, "This baby is too big to come out," reports The Australian. Now, the young woman from Perth, Western Australia, gave birth to the boy Ziad Kadic by caesarean section. At 5,987 grams it is one of the biggest babies of all time. His peers are only about half as heavy on average.
Doctors opted for cesarean section
According to a report by "PerthNow," the doctors attribute the unusual height to the genes. Research showed that the boy is completely healthy. "One of the doctors told me he's the biggest baby he's seen as a doctor in his 15 years," says the young mother. "My family was shocked. They just could not believe how tall he is. "According to press reports, the doctors had opted for a caesarean section because they feared that the woman's pelvis could break.
Almost twice as heavy as the peers
Ziad Kadic has not only set a new hospital record, but also significantly exceeded the average weight for newborns in Australia: According to the country's statistics office, infants weigh on average 3.35 kilograms on their first day of life there. Just last year, the birth of a "giant baby" was reported from the USA. At that time a mother gave birth to a 6.4 kg baby. But even that was not the biggest newborn of all time: According to the Guinness book, the heaviest baby that survived was a 10.2 kilogram boy born in 1955 in Aversa, Italy. (Ad)
