As the Australian-New Zealand University Network / Institute Ranke-Heinemann reported in a communication, researchers from the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences of the University of Queensland in Brisbane found that tea or coffee can help to get going.

The researchers said in their study that women who drink one or two cups of tea or coffee per day are more likely to do the recommended level of moderate to intense exercise than those who consume less.

The results of the study were published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

Caffeine reduces tiredness and energylessness

Like Dr. Tina Skinner of the University of Queensland said caffeine intake through coffee and tea can promote sports activities for middle-aged women by reducing fatigue and loss of energy.

One or two cups a day

The study looked at the habits of 7,580 women born between 1946 and 1951 and taking part in an Australian long-term study on women's health.

The participants were asked not only to document their average tea and coffee consumption over the last twelve months, but also to record their movement and sports behavior from the previous week.

"Coffee and tea drinkers feel less tired and have more energy," explained the study author.

"For those who drink one or two cups of coffee a day, they're 17 percent more likely to reach the recommended level of exercise. For those who drink one to two cups of tea a day, the figure was 13 to 26 percent. " Skinner.
