What health dangers threaten Salmonella?
According to the Federal Center for Health Education, Salmonella are bacteria that can cause a food infection with severe diarrhea. In addition, headache, abdominal pain, general malaise, nausea and vomiting, as well as mild fever are other common symptoms. Most of the time the symptoms resolve themselves after several days. In rare cases, however, it can also lead to serious disease with high fever and septicemia. In case of severe symptoms, a doctor should be consulted, indicating that possibly contaminated eggs have been eaten. (Vb)
