Mina spices recalls pepper due to salmonella danger

The company Mina Gewürze is currently calling the product "Mina spices pepper ground, 500g" (Gastrobox) and "Mina spices pepper black, 80g" (glass) with the best before date 31.12.2020 of lot / batch 754, manufactured by Manufcturas Salomon, S.L. from Spain, back. According to customer information, salmonella was detected in the product. Such bacteria can lead to health problems.

Goods can be returned without presentation of the receipt

As stated in the communication, the product concerned was "sold in individual Turkish food specialty stores exclusively in the federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg".

The manufacturer has responded to his own information immediately and the product concerned from the sale.

According to the company, it can be returned in all affected stores. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt.

Bacteria cause gastrointestinal infections

"Salmonella can be a cause of severe stomach / bowel disease (salmonellosis)," the company writes. "Because of this health risk, customers should be mindful of the recall and not consume the affected product."

The disease occurs several hours to days after infection and manifests itself mainly by sudden onset of diarrhea, abdominal pain, malaise, feeling cold and headache.

In some cases, vomiting and mild fever are added.

The symptoms usually disappear after a few hours or days.

For infants, young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems, fluid loss due to diarrhea and vomiting can be dangerous. (Ad)
