The Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety informs „lebensmittelwarnung.de“ about the recall of a raw milk cheese. in the „Fleckenbühler carrot soft cheese“ Listeria had been found. The pathogens are harmful to health, especially for pregnant women and toddlers.
Listeria in raw milk cheese can be hazardous to health
The manufacturer „Hof Fleckenbühl“ call his „Fleckenbühler carrot soft cheese“ with the best before date 9 April 2015 and the batch number 060915 back. „In an official sample, Listeria was detected in Fleckenbühler carrot soft cheese. These bacteria can trigger the infectious disease listeriosis“, informs the Federal Office on the website.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause a so-called listeriosis, which is accompanied by flu-like symptoms or gastrointestinal complaints. In individual cases, the pathogens can even be life-threatening. Particularly vulnerable persons are pregnant women, small children and people with weakened immune systems.
After finding the Listeria, the raw milk cheese was taken off the market immediately. „Consumers the o.g.
