Sold by Rewe: Manufacturer recalls frozen pizzas for possible plastic parts

The Franco Fresco GmbH from the Bavarian Geretsried has started a callback for "Gustavo Gusto I like Pizza Prosciutto". On the product that was sold in Rewe markets, sharp plastic parts could be found in individual cases. Consumption of the pizzas is strongly discouraged.

The Franco Fresco GmbH from Geretsried (Bavaria) calls the frozen pizza "Gustavo Gusto I like Pizza Prosciutto" (black box), 450g, with the best before date 13.05.2019 and the lot number 288 back. According to a company announcement, "due to a production error, it can not be ruled out that these pizzas may have sharp-edged, transparent plastic parts in individual cases." Consumption is therefore "strongly discouraged".

Three states affected

The manufacturer has responded to his own information promptly and can take the affected item from the sale.

Affected are Rewe markets in the federal states of Bavaria, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.

As the company informs, customers can return the affected product in every market and receive the purchase price even without a receipt.
