As reported on the "Lebensmittelwarnung.de" portal of the federal states and the Federal Office for Consumer Protection, Schneekoppe GmbH recalls the article "Leinöl Klassik 250 ml" "for reasons of preventive consumer protection". According to the information provided, there is reason to assume that there are occasionally increased PAH values in the product batches mentioned. According to the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), PAHs have "harmful properties, in particular they can be carcinogenic".
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are found again and again in food and commodities. For example, the Austrian Association for Consumer Information (VKI) reported at the end of last year that many cuddly animals were contaminated with the carcinogenic pollutants.
Recall in March for the same reason
Schneekoppe asks customers who bought the affected linseed oil to return the product to the store. The selling price will be refunded. In March, the company had already recalled the same oil - for the same reason. (Ad)
