Recall: Aldi Süd warns of glass splinters in milk rolls

The Aachen company Ibis baked goods calls for French milk rolls „IBIS 12 Original“ back and warns against their consumption. The health of the consumers could be endangered. The product may contain broken glass, according to the press release. They were sold exclusively at Aldi Süd in four different federal states.

The company Ibis Backwarenvertriebs GmbH retrieves one of their products because of possibly contained glass splinters and warns against its consumption. It is a matter of „IBIS 12 Original French Milk Rolls 480g“, with the best before date 26.02.2014. This was announced by the company on Saturday in Aachen. The contested product was withdrawn from the market for reasons of preventive consumer protection.
Sold only at Aldi Süd
It was pointed out that no further products of the company Ibis Backwarenvertriebs GmbH were affected. The complained milk rolls were sold exclusively at Aldi Süd in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, parts of Baden-Württemberg and in the Greater Würzburg and Munich. Customers who are still in possession of the baked goods, they could return them in all branches of Aldi Süd for a refund of the purchase price.
Do not consume products anymore
Due to errors in the manufacturing processes, contaminants or foreign bodies in food products can occur again and again. Both for the offended milk rolls and for all other foods with possibly contained glass splinters, these are no longer to consume and return them to the trade.
