The food company iglo recalls frozen herbs of the parsley variety. As the company informs, there is a suspicion of VTEC bacteria in a product batch of the product "iglo parsley 40g". These germs can cause health problems such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever, nausea and vomiting. According to iglo, the affected batch was delivered exclusively to Lidl, Netto and Penny.

Found VTEC bacteria
As reported by iglo, in the product affected by the recall, VTEC bacteria (verotoxin-producing E. coli) were found in a study of a sample.
The product is recalled with the best before date 01.2019 and the code L 8030CR005 / time 14:00 - 22:00, which is stated on the packaging page.
Since this is a very limited production period, the company asks not only the code, but also the time mentioned to pay attention.
Consumers are asked to dispose of the relevant products "iglo parsley 40g". The purchase price for the named product and, if applicable, the postage costs would be reimbursed.
Do not consume the affected product
The company warns against consuming the relevant batch.
The bacteria "could, if consumed raw, lead to health problems, including but not limited to, febrile gastrointestinal upset," the statement says.
According to health experts, such illnesses usually manifest themselves within a week of infection with complaints such as diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
Especially infants, toddlers, seniors and people with weakened immune systems can develop more severe illnesses with bloody diarrhea.
