Classic homeopathy is effective and cost effective for hyperactive children. This was the result of a Swiss research team. For this they were awarded the Research Prize 2013 of the Sandoz AG awarded by the Institute of Family Medicine of the University of Basel.

The research work of Klaus von Ammon et al. addresses the topic of attention deficit syndrome with and without hyperactivity (AD [H] S) in children. These are the 10-year results of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 83 children with ADHD according to DSM-IV criteria. Children between the ages of 7 and 15 were randomized to receive classical homeopathy or placebo.

Treatment with classical homeopathy in children with AD (H) S leads to a significant improvement in clinical symptoms lasting over 10 years. Here you will find the study abstract. (Pm)
