Measles viruses in court Are not they?
Ravensburg district court should decide on the existence of measles viruses
04/10/2014
In response to the massive campaigns for measles vaccinations, resistance has emerged on some critical internet portals. Among other things, the existence of measles viruses was fundamentally questioned and a prize money of 100,000 euros was awarded for the proof of their existence. „The prize money is paid out when a scientific publication is presented in which the existence of the measles virus is not only asserted, but also proven and included in it. whose diameter is determined“, explained the thoroughly controversial biologist dr. Stefan Lanka in a press release.
What the biologist apparently did not expect: A doctor from the Saarland Homburg accepted the challenge and provided the required evidence. However, the vaccine opponent from Langenargen (Bodenseekreis) lacked a picture of the measles virus, so he refused to pay the prize money. The doctor then sued for a return of the money, which is why the case now the district court Ravensburg employs. Here it must be decided whether there are actually measles viruses or whether the proof of the doctor was correct.
Promised prize money not paid
The plaintiff explained to the press that he had confirmed the invitation to tender for the prize money in writing and subsequently provided evidence on the basis of an extensive literature search and the compilation of relevant publications. This was not a big job, but so far he has not received any money. „He wrote to me that he could not pay the prize money, because the pictures show no measles viruses“, quotes the news agency „dpa“ the physician, who was then taken to court. On the first day of the trial, however, the district court of Ravensburg was not yet in a position to make a verdict. Whether the biologist has to pay the prize money remains therefore initially open. If this happens, then the plaintiff wants to donate the money according to own data for Impfkampagnen in developing countries.
Biologist continues to deny the existence of pathogenic viruses
The Langenargener biologist had already caused in the past several times with his theses for media attention. For example, Dr. Lanka also states that AIDS or bird flu are caused by viruses. Among his medics, his theories often only make for incredulous head shaking and are rather not taken seriously. In the current case, however, the doctor has gratefully accepted the challenge - also in view of the tendered prize money. At the request of the press, the biologist did not want to confirm the announcement of the prize money due to the ongoing proceedings. He also stuck to the thesis that pathogenic viruses do not exist. Rather, other causes such as a „Poisoning of the skin from the outside or a detoxification from the inside out over the skin“ as a cause of the diseases to consider, explained the biologist. (Fp)
