Health insurance warns of numerous fraud calls

Insured of the AOK should be careful. The health insurance company warns against fraudsters who spend on the phone as an employee of the AOK and try with various tricks, among other things, to get the bank details or addresses of insured.
Fake calls on behalf of the AOK
According to a report by the AOK Rheinland / Hamburg, there have been more and more fake calls in the past few weeks on behalf of the AOK. According to the information, among other things, alleged AOK employees offered money or repayments from a bonus program. For this they asked the bank account of the insured.

Additional insurance is imposed
Another trick is to impose supplementary insurances on the insured person. If the called party gives out his address for info-stuff, he has a contract in the mailbox a few days later. Anyone who fails to transfer the contract premium claimed therein will receive payment requests.
Fraudulent strategies are constantly changing
The health insurance company points out that these tricks are examples that are known to the AOK. It should be noted that scammers often change their strategies and demands. In case of doubt, call the name of the caller, end the call and then call the local AOK to inquire about this employee.
