On Monday, the University Hospital Gießen-Marburg confirmed the press reports of the weekend, according to which the 47-year-old accused was from November 2002 to October 2004 as a resident physician at the Marburg Clinic for Neurosurgery.

In Magdeburg currently investigating the prosecutor against the native Jordanians for alleged fraud and falsification of documents as well as the suspicion of negligent homicide. One patient died as a result of a disc surgery involving the wrong doctor. Now the research has shown that the wrong doctor apparently also at the University Hospital Marburg worked for two years.

Dangers to the patient by the wrong doctor?
Between November 2002 and October 2004, the accused worked as a resident at the Department of Neurosurgery in Marburg, „We can confirm this information today“, said on Monday the Medical Director of the University Hospital Giessen-Marburg, Jochen Werner. Since the wrong doctor here - like all assistant physicians - but constantly under supervision and so far no complaints have emerged, the hospital management in Marburg assumes that „a threat to patients according to current knowledge“ can be excluded. However, the research is just beginning. According to media reports, the wrong doctor should also have been active in Regensburg, but this is not yet official confirmation.

Investigation of the prosecutor against the wrong doctor
According to the Marburg University Medical Center, there was nothing wrong with the man's application. Maybe the documents were already manipulated here. The University of Marburg supports according to their own statements the ongoing investigation of the prosecutor Magdeburg „with all means available“, to clarify the case. Whether the wrong doctor is ever responsible in this country before a court for his actions, is still open.
