Misleading petition Fundamental right to health
Naturopathic and naturopathic foundations make clear: Misleading petition "Fundamental right to health"
09/04/2013
Previously unknown initiators are currently calling for the signing of the petition "Fundamental rights to health" with reference to EU Regulation 1924/2006 / CE. It is falsely given the impression that all naturopathic remedies are acutely threatened.
The petition gives the impression that there is an imminent ban on naturopathic medicines. But this is not the case. Several professional societies and institutions, including the Carstens Foundation, the Hufelandgesellschaft and the Federation of Healing Practitioners (BDH) are now putting this right.
EU Regulation 1924/2006 / CE concerns only food and not medicines. Homeopathic remedies, phytotherapeutics, preparations of anthroposophic medicine, etc. They are therefore not affected by this Regulation because they are considered to be medicinal products in Germany and not foods. The regulation also came into force in 2006. HERE you will find the text of the EU Regulation. (Pm)
