Typical teething and their symptoms
Where many children are together, viruses, bacteria and fungi spread. In addition to measles, rubella and chickenpox, these include diseases that are scarcely known and that are rampant in kindergarten, kindergarten and school - for example, scabies or marigolds.

scabies
Scabies is an infection of the skin with itch mites. It is transmitted through skin contact from person to person. However, superficial contact is not enough.

A conjunctivitis is highly contagious. It itches, burns and sticks the eyelids.

symptoms
Scabies are characterized by intense itching on the skin, especially when it is warm - for example in bed. On the skin are formed blisters, papules and pustules, especially between the fingers, on the wrists, the elbows, ankles, groins, the chest and the genitals.

What to do?
The mites tolerate no heat and die at temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is enough to clean clothes in the washing machine to get rid of the pests. If children are affected by scabies, wash all clothing, towels and bed linen at least 60 degrees Celsius.

Lack of hygiene?
Scabbers is popularly referred to as a sign of inadequate cleanliness. But that's not true. Rather, a cause of the recent scabies seems to be that young people spend more time than before in their street clothes in private homes together.

Fifth disease
Ringelröteln show up as reddening areas, the shape of which vaguely reminds of a butterfly, which distinguishes it from other infections of the skin. The rash begins on the face and spreads later on arms and legs.

Why ring rubella?
The large spots take on the shape of reddish ringlets in the course of the inflammation - therefore Ringelröteln. The disease gets a human being in life only once.

streptococci
Streptococci are bacteria that cause scarlet fever, a disease that affects children from 4 to 12 years old. Children are therefore a preferred "target" because streptococci only spread when the immune system weakens - or is not sufficiently developed in infants.

"Strawberry tongue"
The symptoms are a "raspberry tongue", ie a "scarlet" mouth, high fever, severe pain in the neck, head and limbs. A red rash covers the skin, and later it shivers.

infection
Children become infected with streptococci through droplets or touches of people carrying the pathogen. Apart from scarlet fever, there are other diseases, depending on which streptococcus species is at work. Ignite the excretions of the bacteria heart or lungs is life-threatening.

subsequent reactions
Streptococcus pyogenes, the scarlet fever, penetrates the body especially through the oral mucous membranes. One risk is the reactions of the immune system to the bacteria - "Cross-reactions" can inflame the joints, muscles and the heart.

herpes
The "three-day fever" rages preferentially in infants and toddlers whose immune system is still weak. First a high fever breaks out, which then sinks after about three days and instead covers the trunk with a red rash. Triggers are herpesviruses.

Conjunctivitis
The risk of infection with conjunctivitis is especially high for toddlers. It is a lubrication and droplet infection-

symptoms
The eyes redden, swell, tear and stick together. The child is extremely sensitive to light. Pus sometimes forms in the eye.

prevention
To prevent (widespread) conjunctivitis, thoroughly wash your hands (and your child as well) and cleanse your child's eyelid with a damp cloth if pathogens are present.
