According to DGE, according to current data, 250 mg of the long-chain n-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) per day are sufficient to prevent deaths from coronary heart disease (CHD). "Depending on the type of fish chosen, this quantity can be covered by one to two fish meals per week," says the DGE.
Important source of iodine
For example, meals can be divided into one serving of high-fat (70 grams) and low-fat (150 grams) fish. Low-fat fish include cod, saithe, hake, plaice or redfish.
