Reduce heart attack risk through healthy eating and adequate exercise
World Heart Day: Do not Underestimate Heart Attack Risk
Cardiovascular diseases are still the number one killer in Europe. Health experts point out to the World Heart Day on September 29, that one can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease through a healthy lifestyle.
Protection against heart disease
To protect yourself from cardiovascular disease, it is beneficial to do sports. However, even moderate, regular exercise, such as taking a quick daily walk, can protect against heart disease. In addition to sufficient exercise, healthy nutrition is important to prevent a heart attack. This is what health experts point out to World Heart Day.

"The risk of a heart attack should not be underestimated," said Bavaria's Health Minister Melanie Huml in a statement on the occasion of World Heart Day on 29 September.
"Therefore, it is important to prevent and avoid risk factors such as smoking," said the Minister.
"Cardiovascular diseases are still the leading cause of death in Bavaria. Around 53,000 people died in 2015, "said the politician.
Avoid cardiovascular disease
"Many cardiovascular diseases could be avoided," says Huml.
"Everyone can do something for their health and thus lower the risk for cardiovascular diseases, but also for diseases such as diabetes or hypertension."
According to the minister, health promotion and prevention must permeate the entire society.
"Children should already have a healthy start in life. Equally important is the support in the further course of life. Sport and healthy eating should be in everyone's mind, "said Huml. (Ad)
