Hash biscuits at party: Four people in the hospital
30.12.2014
A party on which Hashkekse was consumed has given four young people a ride to the hospital. At first, only one woman complained of nausea, but on arrival of rescue workers showed that twelve people had health problems. One person fled the ambulance on the way to the clinic.
From the party to the clinic
At the weekend, four young people in Dortmund had to be taken away from a party to a hospital. As reported by various media, the local fire brigade received a distress call from a female person complaining of nausea at about 11:10 pm on Sunday evening. When the ambulance arrived at the specified address, it turned out that many more people complained of nausea and vomiting, whereupon the fire department triggered a major alarm for the ambulance service.
Nausea after eating hash biscuits
In the course of the operation, it turned out that 17 young people (born 1988 to 1996) were present in the apartment. Twelve of them showed health complaints after eating hash biscuits. Four had to be taken to the hospital and the remainder were treated locally. As a fire department press release has it, a person escaped from an ambulance in an unknown direction during transport. In total, two emergency physicians, 19 firefighters and four ambulances were on duty.
Consumers were educated about the dangers
The participants did not comment on where the cookies came from. All remaining were seized by the police. It is said that the police are now investigating a possible violation of the Narcotics Act. In addition, a criminal complaint had been made. The cookie eaters were taught by the attending physicians about their behavior and the danger of drug use. Experts repeatedly warn against the consequences of the use of hashish and marijuana. Whether the drugs are eaten or smoked, they can cause nausea and health problems such as palpitations, hallucinations, circulatory weakness or even a circulatory collapse. (Ad)
