A 47-year-old man spent a long period of time as a naturopath, although he did not have appropriate training under the Healing Practices Act (HPG) decreed. Amongst other things „treated“ the defendant with acupuncture needles and regressed alleged malpositions of the spine. The district court Landsberg has now sentenced the man to a prison sentence of 10 months without parole.
According to reports of the Association of German Holistic Practitioners e.V. led the convicted man in particular „treatments“ in the case of women whom he had previously met via the Internet and with whom he also had love relationships. In addition, the man also took before treatments in the circle of friends. His „diagnosis“ He often read unsolicited from the hands of the injured and „therapied“ including after the consumption of a few glasses of wine. Although the alleged treatments were unable to provide any of the victims with any relief, fortunately the man did not do any harm to his health.
In court, the defendant initially denied all allegations and tried to prove his actions by e-mails, on whose authenticity, however, the court had great doubts. Only after the burden of proof was overwhelming did the man concede that he had also performed unauthorized acupuncture. The late regret and ten more criminal records prompted the court, the „wrong naturopath“ sentenced to 10 months imprisonment. Only the fact that the man had taken no money for his services, let the verdict mitigate something.
