Boundless Naturopathy in Europe: 9th Naturopathic Symposium „The thyroid - a butterfly in motion“ in the Congress Park Hanau

The thyroid gland is an organ that undergoes a life-long transformation in both men and women. Like no other organ it reacts to any change in the metabolism, in life situations and always tries to balance itself. One in ten patients today has elevated thyroid hormones. The number of female patients is three times higher than that of male patients. As small as the thyroid gland is as an organ, it has a great influence on the human metabolism. It holds both central body functions in the Lot as well as the mental balance. This important, organic control center reacts to the slightest changes caused by stress, illnesses, harmful substances and external influences. This always presents therapists with challenges. This year's 9th Non-medical Practitioners Symposium deepened the topic and tried to illuminate the background, to present diagnostic and therapeutic options and to convey new ideas and impulses for everyday practice.

Also, this year's symposium features under the title „Boundless Naturopathy in Europe“ a current look beyond the national borders. The profession of non-medical practitioner in Germany is one of the European health professions. But why does an international health system such as traditional naturopathy or complementary alternative medicine and methods in a united Europe still have no professional profile? There are only national singles in Switzerland and Germany. In an open discussion round under the topic „Boundless Naturopathy in Europe“ Nora Laubstein, Chairwoman of the Association for Natural Medicine in Europe (ANME), discusses current perspectives and developments that lead to the practice of medicine in other European countries as well as in the German healthcare market.

The 9th Naturopathic Symposium will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2013, from 9:00 to 17:00 in the Congress Park Hanau (CPH), Schlossplatz 1, 63450 Hanau. The Union of German Naturopaths (UDH) Landesverband Hessen e.V. and the Association of German Non-medical Practitioners e.V. address the training and exhibition offer to all naturopathic therapists, non-medical practitioners and non-medical practitioner candidates.
