Do not eat: Recall of Lidl minced meat because of plastic particles
The manufacturer SB-Convenience GmbH informs about a product recall of the product "Squire mixed minced meat, 500 g". The meat was sold in stores of the food discounter Lidl in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. Consumption is strongly discouraged.


Discovered plastic particles in minced meat
The manufacturer SB Convenience GmbH from Rheda-Wiedenbrück (North Rhine-Westphalia) is currently recalling the product "Landjunker minced meat mixed, 500 g" with the expiration date 17.07.17 in parts of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. According to the company, it can not be ruled out that the product concerned contains blue plastic foreign bodies. Because of a potential risk of injury when eating, customers should never consume the meat.

Goods can also be returned without a receipt
The product affected by the recall was sold by Lidl Deutschland in parts of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.

The discounter has removed the affected product from the sale. Anyone who has bought such meat can return it in all Lidl branches. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presentation of the receipt.

It should be noted that other products of the manufacturer SB Convenience GmbH sold at Lidl Germany as well as mixed minced meat from other manufacturers are not affected by the recall.

Foreign bodies in food
In food production, due to errors in the manufacturing processes, contaminants or foreign bodies such as aluminum or plastic residues can occur again and again.
