If you like pizza, you will love a homemade naan pizza. The delicious pancakes can be prepared simply and versatile. Traditionally, they are baked on an open flame in a clay oven. The name Naan comes from Persian and simply means bread. Now the naan is reinterpreted and served as a "pizza". The dough can be easily prepared by yourself. The basic ingredients are yeast, water, sugar and flour. In some recipes yogurt, salt, milk, eggs or ghee is added. Ghee is the clarified butter of Ayurveda and can be compared to European butter lard. After kneading, leave the dough covered until it has developed twice the volume. Then it is divided and shaped into round to oval pieces, which are very thin in the middle and slightly thicker at the edge.

Some like it classic and pick tomatoes, salami or tuna. Lamb with vegetables or a spinach-feta mixture with olives are also suitable as a topping. Even leftovers in the refrigerator can be used for the pizza great. Pepper, cumin, fresh coriander, pesto, chili or garlic oil provide the spice.
A delicious variation is a pizza with cheese, fresh mushrooms and some truffle oil. For afternoon tea, enjoy a sweet naan bread with a thin quark layer and fresh berry fruits. After proofing, the oriental flatbread comes into the oven for another five minutes - and ready. The big advantage is that it remains mellow even when cold.
