Diet Fructose is not a healthy sugar
In the food industry, fructose has been increasingly used in recent decades as it was considered less harmful than conventional sugar. But in the meantime, investigations are mounting that conclude that fructose is not healthier - rather the opposite.
Fructose can harm your health
Fructose provides in fruits and vegetables for a pleasant sweetness. Many people associate it with health and naturalness. For this reason, in the past decades food production has increasingly focused on fructose or fructose syrup instead of table sugar. For example, fructose is contained in products such as soft and wellness drinks, fitness bars or dairy products. While some health-conscious people still swear by this sweetener, there are now numerous studies showing that fructose can be harmful to one's health.
Fructose is dangerous to the heart
For example, scientists from the US came to the conclusion years ago that fructose increases the risk of gout. Women are particularly at risk. In addition, researchers from Switzerland recently discovered in a study that fructose can be dangerous for the heart. It has also been known for some time that a high intake of fructose may favor lipid metabolism disorders, insulin resistance and obesity. According to "unserertirol24.com", the Consumer Center South Tyrol reported that already 35 grams of fruit sugar per meal are considered questionable. However, some drinks may contain up to 40 grams of fructose per liter. And even a cup of yoghurt with a low sugar content can already contain 15 grams of fructose. Packaging reports such as "less sweet", "less sugar" or "with grape sweetness" are reported to indicate a high level of fructose. (Ad)
