Intestinal germs in cheese
The manufacturer Vernieres Freres recalls a batch of his blue cheese "Grand Maitre Roquefort". In some products, potentially harmful intestinal microorganisms of strain "E.Coli, Stx1 gene" had been found during an investigation. Affected by the recall are the 100 gram packs with the best before date 23.12.2015 and the LOS mark 362.212. This product was offered nationwide in various supermarkets.
Consumption could lead to gastrointestinal infections
Already purchased cheese should not be consumed. E-coli bacteria belong to the natural intestinal flora of humans and animals. Some of them can cause gastrointestinal infections with indigestion such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. The fact that food is contaminated with such germs is not uncommon. Even in tap water they are sometimes found. At the beginning of the year, authorities in Delmenhorst pointed out that drinking water was contaminated with germs. These were E. coli bacteria, the population was called to boil the water. (Ad)
