Candida diet - building up the intestinal flora and the weight is reduced almost by itself / Health News

The anti-fungal diet

Not every diet aims for a quick weight reduction. The Candida diet focuses on strengthening the sensitive intestinal flora. Slimming is a positive side effect of the diet. However, implementation requires a certain amount of discipline. The focus of the diet is the renunciation of carbohydrate and sugary foods, with the aim of establishing a natural balance in the intestine. Lean proteins, low-starch vegetables such as peppers, cabbage, carrots, fennel and eggplant, low-sugar fruits such as kiwis, raspberries, strawberries and oranges, high-quality whole grains and healthy fats, which are contained in cold-pressed olive oil, walnut oil and flaxseed oil, are permitted.

Normally in the intestine there is a natural balance of different bacteria. But through many factors of our everyday life, the gut can get out of balance. Stress and unhealthy diets are common causes of intestinal imbalance, but taking antibiotics can also upset the intestine. The possible consequence is the increase of the Candida mushroom in the intestine. Overpopulation of this fungus can lead to indigestion, sluggishness, the so-called irritable bowel syndrome and other intestinal disorders. In addition to impairments of well-being, flatulence and weight gain are possible consequences of the Candida fungus excess.

What is a candida mushroom?

Candida albicans is a fungus from the group of yeasts. This fungus is found in humans often on the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, in the genital area and in the digestive tract. He belongs to the facultative pathogens. This means he can cause illness under certain conditions. With normal expression, the colonization by this fungus usually causes little discomfort. However, there are problems when it comes to overgrowth. The Candida diet is an approach that is designed to counteract the out of balance gut flora and the resulting increase in the Candida fungus.

The three components of a candida diet

First, taking probiotic supplements to stimulate the growth of bacteria with beneficial properties for the gut, helping to restore the natural balance of the gut flora.
Secondly: An antimicrobial substance, a so-called antimycotic, is intended to reduce fungal growth.
Third, a change in diet should stop Candida growth.

The course of the Candida diet

In the so-called cleansing phase, the body should be prepared for the change in diet. This phase should be held for a few days. During this period, users of the diet should only take low-sugar fruits, low-starch vegetables, healthy oils, herbs, spices and organic eggs. After the cleansing phase, the actual diet follows. Sugar, most carbohydrates, as well as industrially processed foods are removed from the diet. Lean proteins, low-starch vegetables, low-sugar fruits, high-quality whole grains and healthy fats are said to replace carbohydrate and sugary foods. Although losing weight is not the focus of this diet, it is possible to lose a few pounds due to the significant reduction in sugar and carbohydrates.

Studies on the candida diet

Although the concept already has many strong followers, there is currently no scientific evidence that the diet has a positive effect on the body and weight. Experts advise not to carry out the Candida diet for too long. Since the nutritional plan is greatly reduced, there is a risk of lack of trace elements and vitamins. There is currently no maximum or minimum duration for the administration of the Candida diet. (Fp)
