For the third time next Tuesday, June 3, the nationwide „Action day against the pain“ instead of. Annually, always on the first Tuesday in June, the German Pain Society e.V., together with partner organizations, wants to give pain patients and their relatives the opportunity to be informed about treatment options and receive advice. In addition, attention should be drawn to the incomplete care of millions of people suffering from chronic pain.
Nationwide free telephone hotline
On the national day of action events and lectures will take place in 250 practices, clinics and in individual pharmacies. Pain therapy facilities throughout Germany provide insights into the various methods of pain treatment. The Deutsche Schmerzgesellschaft e.V. presents information material on current diagnostic and treatment options. In addition, several dozen renowned pain therapists and patients from 9 to 18 o'clock in a free telephone hotline 0800/1818120 and answer questions.
Millions of patients with chronic pain
Chronic pain represents a huge impairment of their quality of life for millions of people in this country. The CEO of the German Pain Society e.V., Thomas Isenberg, also sees the policy in responsibility. That is why pain diseases must finally become a hot topic among health and political actors at federal and state level.“
