Baby Milk Powder Change to other product is usually unproblematic
When babies are fed with milk powder, parents do not have to worry if their usual product is not available. As a rule, the baby also copes well with another strain. Consumer advocates have pointed this out.
Most mothers breastfeed their babies
Most mothers in Germany breastfeed their offspring. This also has many good reasons: breastfeeding protects against allergies, and is perfect for the immune system. In addition, it is the cheapest and most convenient food for infants in the first few months. Nevertheless, there are women who consciously decide against breastfeeding. In some cases, health causes are crucial for feeding the baby with milk powder. Sometimes the powder is used in addition to the mother's milk. Change of milk powder without damage to the baby. Milk powder change usually not problematic
But whatever the reason, parents use baby milk powder: if a particular vendor's product is not available, they'll be able to use another variety. As the consumer center North Rhine-Westphalia explained according to a message from the news agency dpa, the change to another milk powder for the baby is usually not problematic. At the same time, the experts advise to always have a stock for about a week of the usual baby milk at home. Especially in difficult phases, the baby may only like the familiar taste. Alternatives that taste the child can find out parents in situations while the baby is satisfied and relaxed.
Strong demand from China
The reason why consumer advocates talk about a possible change is that milk powder is becoming scarce in German trade at times. This has to do with buying hamsters in China, which since the end of 2012 again and again provide for bottlenecks of infant milk in this country. At that time, after a find of mercury, Chinese buyers' confidence in domestic products had dwindled and demand for well-known companies from Europe had risen sharply. It is said that the scarcity in the trade refers only to a few well-known brands. (Ad)
