Dead woman wakes up at the undertaker
What sounds like a horror movie, was for a 92-year-old seriously ill woman to the bitter reality: An elderly nurse had found the elderly lady without a pulse in her bed, after which a doctor from Gelsenkirchen certified their death. But the woman woke up in the undertaker's cold room and finally died in the crane hospital two days later. Now, the prosecutor Essen has apparently charged against the physician.

Nurse finds woman without breathing and pulse in nursing home bed
The story had caused quite a stir in March and made for many people a queasy feeling. A 92-year-old senior citizen in need of care had been found motionless in her bed by a nurse in a nursing home. Since apparently neither pulse nor respiration could be recognized, confirmed a physician from Gelsenkirchen finally the death of the woman. The supposedly "dead" was picked up by a funeral home and taken to the refrigerator as usual. But some time later, the elderly lady came to her senses and startled the two employees of the funeral home.

After the men had called an ambulance and the police, it was revealed that the woman was approachable and able to respond to the doctor - although four and a half hours had passed since the "statement" of death and the discovery of the error. Eventually, the elderly woman was taken to the hospital, where she actually died two days later.

Charge for negligent assault
Now the responsible physician obviously has to fear a process. "We have brought charges of negligent personal injury," said senior prosecutor Birgit Jürgens to the "BILD". The death of the woman two days later in the hospital, but according to the indictment is not related to the several-hour stay in the cooling chamber, reports the news agency "dpa" on. When the trial before the District Court Gelsenkirchen begin, the information is not yet determined. (No)
