Anti-nuclear movement calls for major demonstrations on March 26 in four cities: The motto: "Fukushima warns: shut down all nuclear power plants!"

Since the nuclear disaster in Japan, the protest against the continued operation of nuclear facilities in Germany is increasing daily. Vigilantes of the anti-nuclear movement took place on Monday at more than 700 locations. Many people are now taking to the streets and demonstrating for the nuclear phase-out. They neither believe the Government's appeasement attempts nor their helpless statements about a "new situation". The broad anti-nuclear alliance states: "The dangers of nuclear power have been known for a long time, we do not need a moratorium now, what we need is the final shutdown of all nuclear power plants."
For March 26, anti-nuclear initiatives, environmental organizations, anti-globalization and peace organizations call nationwide for four major mass demonstrations. Preparations are in full swing. In Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich are simultaneously rallies under the motto "Fukushima admonishes: shut down all nuclear power plants!" occur. Many social groups support, mobilize and will participate: unions, citizens' initiatives, churches, representatives of municipalities and political parties. Thousands of people from all over Germany now plan to come to these four cities on March 26th.
Numerous artists have spontaneously agreed to perform at the rallies. Among others are: In Hamburg the music band "The Stars" and the cabaret duo "Alma Hoppe". In Munich, the cabaret artist Urban Priol and the band "The Notwist" appear. For Cologne, the musicians of "Klee", Wolf Maahn, Klaus the violinist and orchestra and the cabaret artist Wilfried Schmickler have promised. And in Berlin are "Mono and Nikitaman", the songwriter "Dota, the little princess" and the Berlin band "Wir sind Helden".
The anti-nuclear alliance calls on the nationwide nationwide, on 26 March to Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich to drive: "Together we say so with these central demonstrations loud and clear: We demand the shutdown of all nuclear power plants now!"
