Alcohol This is how a person looks after three glasses of wine
Alcohol often changes the facial expression
Glassy eyes, distorted corners of the mouth or red ears: The consumption of alcohol causes not only a relaxed mood and good mood for many people, but is often also "visible from the outside". In some, the facial features "derail" after several drinks, making it clear to outsiders that you have looked too deeply into the glass. The extent to which alcohol actually affects our appearance is demonstrated by the project "3 Glasses later" by photographer Marcos Alberti. As the New York Daily News reported, the Brazilian had invited friends to his studio and gradually added three glasses of wine to each of them.
He documented the evening by first taking a picture right after arrival, when the men and women were visibly exhausted from their workday. After each glass he made another picture and could show a clear change in the faces of his acquaintances. "I told them I wanted to do an experiment with wine," says 38-year-old Alberti to the Daily News. "I wanted to show a happy side of drinking ... especially when surrounded by your friends and in good surroundings," the photographer continues.
Tension often already after the first glass away
In the beginning, the acquaintances often seemed serious and tense, many looked with a serious look or just a slight smile into the camera. But after a glass, the mood changed and the faces looked much more relaxed. After two glasses, the effect became even more recognizable, and after the third wine, Alberti was able to capture exuberant laughter or a broad grin in the picture with almost all his friends.
The project was initially thought of as a joke, as Albertis Studio in Sao Paulo more happy hour evenings take place, the newspaper reports. But now the artist has photographed more than 50 people "from all walks of life", including DJs, musicians, teachers, models and art directors.
"I know that alcohol can be bad, but drinking with responsibility can be a good thing," explains Alberti. Therefore, he limited his project to the three glasses of wine per capita: "I did not want to make anyone drunk. I just wanted to see her happy. "(Nr)
