The best facial oil for every skin type

Oils have an advantage over creams. They do not need any preservatives and are therefore particularly suitable for sensitive skin. Vegetable oils contain vitamins and minerals to a high degree. They combine with the fat on the human skin, bring their active ingredients into the uppermost skin layer, prevent the skin from drying out and ensure a good circulation.

Oil is not the same oil

Not all oils are suitable for all skin types. Rice germ oil, for example, is particularly suitable for oily skin. Almond oil, on the other hand, forms its own layer on the skin and is therefore recommended for sensitive skin. Good facial oils

Good facial oils should not harm the skin. This applies to many vegetable oils, such as olive oil, which was already considered the first choice for skin care in ancient Greece.

Secondly, those products are recommended that provide the skin with nutrients and not just beautify the surface in the short term. Paraffins and silicones in industrial face creams ensure that the oils last longer, but they weaken the beneficial properties of many vegetable oils. Although such industrial oils with silicone and paraffin insulate the loss of water, they do not regenerate the skin, as they do not penetrate deeper into the skin.

Many vegetable oils contain lineum oleum, an unsaturated fatty acid. This transforms the body into polyunsaturated linolenic acids, stores them in the skin fat and thus strengthens wound healing. In addition, the linolenic acids have an antiseptic effect.

Olive oil is suitable for skin care all over the body and also on the face. It contains a lot of vitamin E, and this boosts the production of keratin. Keratin refers to fiber proteins that make up the horny substance - the rhinoceros horn as well as our fingernails. Horn cells with nucleus are called keratinocytes.

Keratinocytes form the epidermis and provide the keratin. This repels water and strengthens the skin. Olive oil not only lends the skin a superficial shine, but also ensures that the skin retains a firm structure in the long run.

It is also a good home remedy for dry and flaky skin. Anyone who suffers from it, the oil can be massaged into the still moist skin after showering. The pores are still open by the warm water, and thus it enters the body. A skin so oiled with olive oil lasts for several days.

Which skin needs which oil??

Is her skin dry? Then you can use rich oils. These give fat back to the skin and relieve irritation. These include, for example, almond oil or olive oil.

Under no circumstances should you apply coconut oil to oily skin. This clogs the pores and leads to even more impurities.

Oils for sensitive skin

Facial oils for dry skin

Dry skin sheds and forms wrinkles. Avocado oil helps to prevent this, because it promotes the formation of skin cells, it also contains omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E..

The oil of choice, however, comes from the coconut, because it contains an unusually high amount of fatty acids.

It is very suitable for dry and chapped skin. It regenerates the skin due to its moisturizing and moisturizing effects.

Oils for impure skin

Do you suffer from pimples? Then it's best to use tea tree oil. This has antiviral, antibacterial and against fungi. Attention: Tea tree oil is more of a medicine than a care product. If you use it purely, apply it only on the pimples themselves, otherwise mix it into other oils.

Apply facial oil

You can apply facial oils unmixed and massage into the moist skin after washing. When it combines with water it can penetrate the skin better.

Most products can be applied together with creams to provide additional protection, for example in changing weather. You can also apply oil on the face before putting on a mask. The active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin than during normal use.

hemp oil

Hemp oil contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, gamma-linolenic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid, vitamins B1, B2 and E, as well as phosphorus, potassium, calcium, manganese, sodium, iron, magnesium, zinc and copper.

The fatty acids of the oil can be absorbed directly by the body. The oil strengthens the protection of the skin against bacteria such as poisons and prevents it from drying out. Hemp oil also relieves diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Especially the stearic acid counteracts inflammation and harmful microbes. This is how small wounds heal better and fewer pimples are formed.

The gamma-linolenic acid binds moisture in the skin cells. This results in upholstery and less wrinkles appear on the surface.

Other oils

Argan oil nourishes, regenerates and moisturizes. It also inhibits inflammation and thus works against eczema, psoriasis and eczema.

Evening primrose oil is recommended for old or dry skin. It makes the skin elastic and helps against redness.

Pomegranate oil includes a particularly high number of antioxidants and thus helps especially against the aging of the cells and additionally reduces the pores.

Borage oil, evening primrose oil and blackcurrant oil care for irritated skin. Borage seeds contain 38% oil, and this oil has the highest content of gamma-linolenic acid, as well as linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, nervonic acid, erucic acid and gadoleic acid.

For old skin or skin, on which scars form, are: macadamia nut oil, sea buckthorn oil, avocado oil and avellana oil. Gevuina avella is a relative of the macadamia nut from South America - a silver tree plant. The seeds contain up to 50% oil. This smells a little bit of earth. It is good for mature skin and sensitive skin because of its high content of palmitoleic acid.
