Purification tea - application, effects and recipes
Tea for purifying
Purification means ridding the body of slag and purifying it. However, what are "slags"? Every metabolic process produces waste, plus toxic substances from the environment - in their entirety these are often called "slags", although the term is based on an outdated notion of our organism and there is no clear medical definition for the term. If all the excretory and detoxification organs work properly, these substances can usually be disposed of as normal. However, if the liver, kidney, lymph, intestine or skin do not function properly or become overwhelmed, these waste products accumulate in the body. Detoxifying tea can help here.

Purification tea supports the work of the excretory organs and stimulates the discharge. The tea does not necessarily have to be drunk during Lent or in spring. Everyone can choose their own time individually. For example, after a vacation, in conjunction with a diet or when the food is to be changed - or just to do something good for the body. Nowadays, the word "detox" is not that modern anymore - nowadays it is more talked about "detox" or "detoxing" - but the bottom line is the same thing.
Teerezepte
In order to detoxify the body, Mother Nature has the most diverse plants ready. From this, different tea formulas are put together, depending on which organs are to be "detoxified". But also general tea blends, which are good for the whole organism and relieve it of something, are possible. Such a healing tea should always be consumed consciously and in small sips. In the following lines you will be introduced to the plants individually and then in different tea blends.
Purification tea - as for example a nettle tea - helps to cleanse the body. They promote excretion and relieve the organism. (Image: A_Lein / fotolia.com)dandelion
The dandelion is a daisy family and occurs in many gardens, on meadows and on fields. In the spring, the kids love to blow away the little dandelion screens. Dandelion has an effect on the liver, bile and is also often used to increase diuresis in urinary tract infections or kidney semolina. Even with rheumatism, the dandelion is a good choice. It stimulates the metabolism and is therefore also popular for a detox tea. Often the dandelion occurs in mixtures.
Note: However, if the bile ducts and gallstones are obstructed, this plant is contraindicated!
stinging nettle
Nettle is a plant that grows almost everywhere where people are. In gardens, on meadows, on garden fences and even on rubbish dumps. Plants, which have their home everywhere and actually grow like weeds, are often able to detoxify the human body or rid it of slag. The stinging nettle has an anti-inflammatory effect and, like the dandelion, helps with rheumatism. But also for flushing the urinary tract, this plant is ideal. According to the Chinese meridian clock, the bladder and kidney have their peak times between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In order to do something good for these organs, it is recommended to drink nettle tea during the mentioned period.
Side effects: Very rare are mild gastrointestinal symptoms or allergic reactions.
Milk thistle
The main indication for the milk thistle is the liver. Milk thistle has a protective but also regenerating effect on this great detoxification organ and is thus ideally suited for a detoxifying tea. This medicinal herb works best when taken in the evening before going to bed. A cup of milk thistle tea before going to bed does the liver good.
Goldenrod
The goldenrod has a relation to the kidney and also a little to the liver. It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It promotes excretion via the urinary tract. If liver and kidney are to be detoxified, the Goldenrod is one of them.
In case of limited cardiac or kidney activity, this plant should be foreseen.
birch leaves
By drinking birch leaf tea urination is stimulated. This allows the urinary tract to be flushed through. In folk medicine, the birch leaves were known for blood purification in a spring cure. Skin diseases also respond well to drinking birch leaf tea.
Horsetail
Field horsetail is also known as horsetail. This plant grows on bogs and pond margins throughout Europe, Asia and North America. It is rich in silicic acid, which makes it particularly popular for use in connective tissue weakness. But also for flushing therapy for the urinary tract, this plant is not negligible. It is also used in metabolic diseases such as gout.
Side effects are not known, but in cases of edema due to restricted cardiac and / or kidney activity, field horsetail may not be used.
burdock
The burdock (or burdock root) is used externally for scalp dandruff and hair loss. Applied internally, it is considered detoxifying in folk medicine. It is often included in tea blends for gout or rheumatism.
pansy
The pansy - a violet plant - is beautiful to look at, but also a medicinal herb, especially for the skin. In chronic eczema, the pansy helps both inside and out. Likewise, this plant is suitable for blood purification and rheumatic diseases.

The mixing formulas always contain plants that primarily stimulate the kidneys, the most important excretory organ. In one or the other recipe, the liver is not too short. She prepares what the kidney will subsequently discharge. In some tea blends, there are plants that promote the general blood purification. Since the skin often shows what is inside in the Argen and thus also brings slags "to light", skin plants are also in the boat.
The herbs are available in pharmacies or in well sorted herbal shops. The listed tea blends should not be drunk for more than four weeks at a time and not more than three large cups a day. The same applies if you have decided for only one plant.
