Basic foods

Basic foods /
Angry or basic? These terms, which we associate with the ph value in chemistry lessons, also play an important role in our body. Since the human body is known to consist of up to 70 percent water and all metabolic processes thus happen in an aqueous environment, the pH of this liquid is also measurable. Today, every interested person can use ph value test strips to examine their own urine for this value. But what does the value read mean, how can one bring the pH of one's own body into optimal areas, and what role do basic foods play??

Why basic foods?

Who takes too little of basic foods, suffers at some point at a mineral supply. The main reason for this is a wrong diet with too much meat, cheese, coffee, alcohol, industrial finished products and fast food. Often there is still a lack of exercise, nicotine consumption and stress. Too much acidic food leads to acidification of the body.

To relieve the acid-base balance or to ensure a balanced acid-base balance, basic foods are necessary. According to the Basic Diet, which has been known for over 100 years in alternative medicine, these foods are metabolized in the body as a base-forming. In order to nourish the body in a healthy way, the ratio in the diet should be about one quarter of acid and three quarters of bases.

At least 50 percent of all people are "acidic", which means that the acid-base balance is usually more acidic than basic. This can lead to permanent health problems.

Basic breakfast

A filling breakfast is important for a good start to the day - but how can this be as base-rich as possible? Strongly sugared cereals unfold along with milk. Buckwheat and quinoa are cereals that are suitable for a base-rich diet - together with flaxseed, almonds or even coconut flakes, it can be used to mix a delicious cereal.

Another variant is seed-rich whole grain bread, which is consumed together with raw food. Tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce are particularly suitable. If you eat a lot of cheese or sausages in the morning, then fresh and alkaline vegetables should be eaten to compensate.

Also recommended as a basic sandwich is an avocado cream, which is dressed with minced garlic and lemon juice. Important: The lemon juice sounds only sour, but in reality it unfolds a slightly alkaline effect on the human organism.

A basic breakfast offers many benefits. In addition to important fiber for digestion, the natural deacidification of the body is supported. A varied breakfast arrangement also ensures the supply of essential vitamins and minerals. Incidentally, milk is not absolutely necessary for the supply of calcium, because with legumes, soy and cheese, a good supply of this mineral is just as possible.

The ketogenic diet already provides a very good supply of surplus foods with rare meat consumption, because acidifiers such as wheat bread and sweet pasta are completely avoided in this diet. Especially with the ketogenic diet is a morning fasting no problem. By largely avoiding blood sugar-changing carbohydrates while the morning hunger feeling is hardly available. It is important to keep the water balance of the body in balance. With herbal teas or lemon water, the fluid balance is kept in the basic range.

Vegans and vegetarians have hardly any adjustment difficulties with the alkaline-rich diet. The exception is the so-called "pudding vegan", which preferably feeds on industrially processed baked goods and pastries. Only moderately strong gluten-containing foods such as seitan should be enjoyed. A diet rich in raw vegetables and vegetables contributes significantly to a balanced body-acid balance in the body.

Basic lunch

As with breakfast, you should also eat plenty of raw food or at least cooked vegetables for lunch. If meat is on the plate, then a particularly large portion of vegetables and a fresh salad with neutral-acting oils are recommended. Particularly suitable for a basic salad are, in addition to all sorts of fresh vegetables, also sprouts. With sesame seeds, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds, the basic salad can be flavored.

Instructions: Basic herbal tea

You can easily mix a particularly basic herbal tea with loose tea. Just take peppermint, yarrow, green oats, nettle leaves, lime blossom, dandelion and rooibos - in equal proportions. For a bit of flavor you can also use flavored rooibos and roasted mate tea or add ginger to the tea mixture. Take a heaped teaspoon per cup and let the tea soak for at least ten minutes. Apart from this special mixture, all herbal teas are at least slightly alkaline. However, avoid black tea, which over-acidifies the body.

In the case of vegetables and fruits, it can be said that essentially all varieties are basic. With these foods, you can not go wrong, especially incorporate vegetables frequently and regularly into your diet. The differences are in their so-called PRAL value (potential renal acid load). The value indicates how strong or how weakly alkaline the respective foods are.
