Slime - something quite normal
Mucus is produced daily in our body. This is something normal. The mucus clothes the nose and mucosa in the bronchi and is usually swallowed unnoticed. It performs important tasks: Mucus moistens the mucous membranes, serves as a defense, absorbs dust and pollutants from the air and thus transports the emerging "garbage".

(Image: Andrey Popov / fotolia.com)In conjunction with a cold, however, the consistency and also the amount of mucus changes. As a result, this is perceived as unpleasant.
