Traditional Chinese Medicine Week from 16 to 22 March 2015

01/27/2015

In the spring of 2015, the nationwide Week of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) will take place for the second time. The initiator is the Association for Classical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (AGTCM). This week's theme week is dedicated to alternative pain management and is actively shaped by the 1,600 AGTCM-organized physicians, alternative practitioners and non-medical professionals.

The numerous events throughout Germany will discuss treatment options offered by TCM for headaches and migraines, gynecological complaints, acute and chronic inflammation, chronic muscular tension and sports injuries. All events are designed for those affected, relatives and interested parties. Experts in Traditional Chinese Medicine inform about the possibilities and prospects of alternative pain treatments with acupuncture, drug therapy, tuina, qigong and dietetics.

For example, Heilpraktiker Hubertus Schnüttgen invites you to a lecture on Chinese medicine on March 16, 2015 in his Naturheilpraxis in Attendorn (North Rhine-Westphalia). He talks about his experience in treating acute and chronic pain with acupuncture, cupping and moxa. Schnuttgen treats children and adults. Since acupuncture treatments in children are not easy, he relies on the laser acupuncture and says optimistically: „Acupuncture in children? Sure, of course! The laser acupuncture achieves the same effect and does not require stinging.“

The training and further education center for traditional Chinese medicine in Offenbach opens its doors on 19 March 2015 and invites to an information event with the lecture „Joint pain - If it can not go on“ by Gerhard Klein. The naturopath specializes in Chinese acupuncture and qigong and presents their mode of action in the treatment of chronic joint pain. „Even if a patient in traditional medicine is considered to be over-treated, traditional Chinese medicine can open up new avenues for treating pain. In most cases, a reduction of analgesics can be achieved. This significantly increases the quality of life of those affected,“ so small.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine Week also includes online counseling sessions on alternative pain management. The experts personally answer all questions. All current information can be found on www.woche-der-tcm.de

AGTCM is organizing the international TCM congress in Rothenburg in May 2015 for trade visitors. More than 1,200 participants from over 35 countries are expected this year. Further information at www.tcm-kongress.de. (Pm)
