In warts, plucking, scratching and rubbing are always taboo
Although children's warts often disappear by themselves, they are always annoying. They do not look pretty either. In some cases, parents should have a look at it. Children should be taught not to pluck, scratch or rub on warts.

About every third child between the ages of four and twelve is affected by warts, especially on the feet and hands or head and neck. Children are mainly involved with family members and classmates. In an American study, 65% of children and adolescents disappear within two years, and 80% within four years.

Warts can form everywhere
Warts are caused by viruses and can generally form everywhere. Although they are benign, they can be contagious and multiply. Especially in children, warts sometimes appear easily and eventually disappear again. Adults, on the other hand, often do not get rid of them easily. According to experts warts are favored by a weak immune defense. The Association of Paediatricians (BVKJ) has now in a message from the news agency dpa pointed out that children should not pluck, scratch or rub on warts, so that they do not spread to other parts of the body.

In some cases, a doctor should be consulted
In particular, the so-called mollusc warts are very contagious in children, as they often scratch the blisters and distribute the secretions contained with the fingers to other parts of the body. Children with a wart on their feet should not walk barefoot at home and always use their own towels to prevent other family members from getting infected.

In changing rooms or showers in the swimming pool or in the gym, sufferers should wear bathing shoes. Although warts usually do not hurt, they can sometimes become uncomfortable when they are sitting where there is pressure on a regular basis, for example on the soles of the feet. According to the BVKJ, they go away by themselves. However, this can take years. Parents should definitely go to the doctor with their children if they have a wart on the face, genitals or anus.

For a wart that is painful or red, a doctor should be consulted. The same is true according to the experts, when it starts to bleed, swollen, wet or festering.

What you can do against warts
The viruses that can cause warts prefer hot, humid places and penetrate deeper into the skin through superficial injuries such as cuts or scratches. Those who pluck, for example, at loose skin shreds are therefore more susceptible. Even after swimming softened skin is less resistant. According to the BVKJ, every third child between the ages of four and twelve has warts, especially on the feet, hands, head and neck. The question "What's good for warts?" Is not easy to answer. Often they are treated with the so-called cryotherapy (icing), but there are also various home remedies for warts available. Amongst others, the stem juice of the miracle drug dandelion, which can help not only with warts but also with corns, should be mentioned here.

Warts are a viral disease that can appear at any age, often affecting the hands and / or feet. Some patients have not just one or two warts, but many all over the body. Warts are recognizable by their pointed and hemispherical outgrowths.

Rarely, the warts are flat. The warts as such usually cause no symptoms such as itching or pain. Most warts are benign, only in very rare cases can they cause pain in certain parts of the body or become malignant. On the contrary, warts viruses are almost perfectly adapted to the host, aslo to humans. In natural medicine, warts are usually treated with rubbing garlic. The method of an aqueous and oily garlic extract should be quite promising. (Ad)
