Prepared for the doctor It is best to note important questions and answers
Many people are familiar with the problem: Just recently, one was at the doctor and on the way home suddenly come up with important questions. To avoid this, it is best to take notes beforehand. A special questionnaire can help.
Take notes before a visit to the doctor
Not only is it that many patients do not really understand their doctor because of the specialty Chinese, but they often forget to ask important questions. It is not uncommon to remember then only on the way home. As it says in a message from the news agency dpa, therefore, is always before a visit to the doctor to take notes - no matter what. In the treatment room somebody sometimes gets lost as a patient, and they ask themselves questions like: Did I really mention all the complaints? One should always think about what should be reported to the doctor.
Questionnaire to print
From the magazine "Good Pills - Poor Pills" is offered to patients on the Internet a questionnaire for the preparation of the doctor's visit. Among other things, this can be used to record his or her complaints, as well as the medications to be taken and illnesses that occur in the family. Also to allergies or incompatibilities against drugs information can be written there. Patients should also be able to answer a few questions from the doctor: for example, when the symptoms occur exactly, whether warmth, cold, exercise or rest relieve or increase the symptoms. And also whether you had an accident before the complaints, made a long-distance travel or new drugs - even over-the-counter - has taken.
Patients should ask W questions
Another important tip for doctor visits was recently given by an expert from the Independent Patient Counseling Germany (UPD): According to this, patients should pay attention to W questions and question treatment suggestions. Many people are not confident enough in their conversation with the doctor and agree to an examination or treatment that may not be necessary. By the so-called W-questions, the physician can not only answer yes or no, but must explain more. (Ad)
